First Indian doctor to win the Robert Olding Award


Dr Akshay Batra, Deputy MD, Dr Batra's Positive Health Clinic Pvt Ltd, is this year's recipient of the prestigious Robert Olding Award given out by The Trichological Society London for outstanding achievement and personal endeavour in the field of trichology.

He is the 1 st non UK based trichologist to receive this award.

 

Trichology, the specialist field, in dealing with problems of the hair and scalp is gaining widespread popularity across the globe and in India.

It deals with problems including hair loss, baldness, scaling of the scalp, itching and hair loss.

Dr Batra's Positive Health Clinic Pvt Ltd has achieved tremendous results with hair loss therapies - having treated more than 1 lakh hair patients over 23 years of practice, achieving gratifying results that have brought a smile to many a face.

  

Mr Robert Olding, one of the 1st certified trichologists in the UK with over 50 years of experience, presented the award himself as he was pleased that a non-UK based person was receiving it.

Also present during the ceremony were Mr Barry Stevens, founder and registrar of the society, Dr Richard Rogers, immediate past president of the society and Mr John Harwood, President of the Trichological Society, London.

 

Dr Akshay Batra and Dr Ushma Batra were also awarded their licentiate in trichology - the highest educational qualification offered by The Trichological Society.

 

Dr Akshay Batra has also recently been appointed Hon. Advisor to the Trichological Society for India.
