Speedwinds Nutrition Acquires Female Hair Loss Product Line Sephren

Sept 2008

Speedwinds Nutrition purchased the Sephren brand and formula from Melliora Nutraceuticals.

Company officials for Speedwinds Nutrition announced that an agreement has been reached to purchase the Sephren brand line from its parent company, Melliora Nutraceuticals.

Sephren, one of the most popular products for female hair loss in the United States, was acquired in an all cash deal from the founders, who will stay on during the transition.

"The acquisition of one of the top female hair loss supplements gives us an opportunity to expand our product line in the hair loss product industry, and provides synergies with Procerin, our male hair loss treatment," said Louis Dobbs, a Speedwinds Nutrition spokesperson.

"This gives us access to the foam-based application technologies and distribution system that have made Sephren the dominant women's hair loss product on the market today." Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
