Laser hair therapy ads questioned
Britain's Advertising Standards Authority not satisfied with ad campaign for laser hair therapy endorsed by Martin Crowe
An ad campaign for laser hair therapy endorsed by former New Zealand cricket captain Martin Crowe has fallen foul of the British advertising watchdog.
Two people complained about the ad saying its claims of hair re-growth were misleading because there is no medical proof to back up laser treatment.
Advanced Hair Studio did offer a scientific study which supported its claims but Britain's Advertising Standards Authority says the use of celebrity testimonials for an unproven medical product is unacceptable.
There is no indication yet of whether fines will be imposed.
