Hair loss and Menopause
Is There A Relationship
Between Hair Loss And Menopause?
Can a hand held at Hair Loss laser device provide the solution?

Roughly half of all women experience some hair loss during their menopausal
years. Two-thirds of post-menopausal women deal with thinning hair or bald
spots.
Noticeable pattern baldness in women usually starts after menopause when the
production of the female hormone estrogen slows down dramatically. Before
menopause, the high amounts of estrogen in a woman system protect her from the
small amount of testosterone that women also produce.
After menopause the
testosterone produced combines with the enzyme 5 alpha reductase to create DHT,
and DHT is responsible for female pattern baldness.
Hair loss in women is more common than you may think, but is usually different
than in men. Women will very rarely get bald spots. The hair loss is more
diffuse. It is usually an overall thinning effect. This can make hair styling
rather challenging.
But most importantly, hair loss can make a woman feel less feminine and can
cause depression and even anxiety. Since a lot of the information and treatments
are mostly aimed at men, until now, women had fewer choices. Some tips:
· Cut your hair in short layers. Shorter, layered hair adds fullness and body
· Don’t use combs, but soft brushes and try to avoid things like hair spray.
Using a god mousse or soft gel after washing can give your hair additional body
without harming the hair.
· Always alternate shampoos – at least once a month.
These tips are effective, but only short-term. For long-term effects, we would
suggest The HairMax LaserComb. This product uses a low level (cold) laser to
improve hair condition and increase of the fullness of your hair naturally. Not
only does it increase hair shine, bounce and manageability, it may also reduce
dandruff and scalp itch. It is an easy to use at-Hair Loss treatment that takes only
10 minutes once or twice a week for optimum results. It has an attractive,
ergonomic design and high tech feel, and comes in a designer quality leather
case.
While women are going through menopause, the flashes, sleep deprivation,
itching, etc., it’s important to try anything to help us feel and look better.
