A mum has told how she was groped by a sleazy hair doctor who was this week found guilty of massaging women's breasts.

 

Pervert Praminder Mankoo conned women into stripping off to avoid getting oil on their clothes.

 

One victim who shut her eyes during a session at 47-year-old Mankoo's clinic opened them to find him wearing only his boxer shorts.

 

Another woman was asked by the twisted trichologist if she would like to meet his "little friend". Others said he invited them to "moan".

 

But as the father-of-four was convicted of a string of offences, mum Rayne Franklin relived her FIVE-HOUR ordeal - for which Mankoo escaped with a police caution.

 

Rayne, 48, visited his clinic in Thame, Oxfordshire, in 1998 for reassurance that hair loss did not run in her family.

Waiving her right to anonymity, she recalled: "He began to massage my shoulders and slowly his hand crept down until he had a full hold of my breast. Then he ripped off his coat and stripped naked.

He pushed my face into his genitals and made a disgusting comment about seeking satisfaction.

 

"I was terrified but I knew I couldn't confront him because the door was locked and there was no one around."

 

Rayne, of Windsor, Berks, added: "I was in there for so long and it got to the point that I tried to make for the door, even though I was sure it was locked.

 

"But he stood between me and the door, grabbed each side of my face and tried to drag my head down.

 

"I brought my hands up and pushed his arms away again and again.

 

"There was a point where I thought he was going to strangle me because he had his hands around my throat.

 

"Then, suddenly, unbelievably, he said, 'You're not going to do it, are you?' and he snapped back into professional mode, unlocking the door."

 

After hurriedly putting her clothes back on, the mum made for the exit - only for Mankoo to ask for payment.

 

Frightened and shocked, Rayne tried to remain calm.

 

She said: "I couldn't believe it, but I nonchalantly paid up as though it was the most normal thing in the world.

 

"Then he casually said, 'We need to book you another appointment'."

 

After finally escaping, the legal secretary complained to police and Mankoo was cautioned.

He was also suspended from the Institute of Trichologists, but carried on practising.

 

Rayne said: "When Mankoo was cautioned 10 years ago, I thought that would be the end of it.

 

"I couldn't believe it when I heard that he had continued to prey on innocent clients.

 

"Looking back I wish I had spoken publicly about it when it happened and maybe he could have been stopped earlier."

 

Ajury at Oxford Crown Court heard that Mankoo, of Oakley, Bucks, told clients to strip to their underwear to avoid getting oil on their clothes.

 

During his shoulder massages, his hands would stray under the women's bras and he would tell them to "moan" if they liked it.

 

At the same time he told the women who feared baldness he was their "knight in shining armour" because of his treatments.

 

He claimed they needed stress relieving massages to help with their scalp problems but instead groped their breasts.

 

Nine women came forward to complain about him.

 

And on Friday, Mankoo was found guilty of three charges of sexual assault and one of indecent assault.

 

He was acquitted of six other assault charges.

 

Judge Mary Jane Mowat bailed him until sentencing in October on condition his massages were only to scalps.

 

All treatments also had to be in the presence of a woman besides the female client.

 

She told Mankoo: "These are serious offences."

 

Rayne revealed that the verdicts brought belated closure to a trauma that had plagued her for a decade.

 

She said: "For years I couldn't even contemplate having a relationship.

 

"I wouldn't go out at all. I'd hole myself up at Hair Loss and do nothing.

 

"Unfortunately, you just can't forget something like I went through. It leaves a scar."

 

She added: "I want to see him be sentenced. I feel like I need to be there.

 

"But that doesn't quite seem enough either. I am still waiting for his apology.

 

"I would visit him in prison, if necessary, just to hear him say sorry to me and all the other women he preyed on."
