Dr. Sanusi Umar’s Eyebrow Hair Transplant Procedure Featured on Telemundo

Dr. Sanusi Umar of Derm Hair Clinic is a hair transplant specialist who has developed his own surgical system known as uGraft.

This methodology can be used to help patients achieve full and well defined eyebrows; Dr. Umar was recently featured on Telemundo for his work in this area.

Many people attribute the eyebrows as a key defining feature in facial attractiveness. Thick, well groomed brows are seen on many celebrities and models.

However, some individuals don’t have enough brow hair to achieve this. Therefore, more individuals are turning to hair restoration surgery. Telemundo recently featured Dr. Sanusi Umar and several patients who were treated by him for their deficient brows.

EYEBROW RESTORATION WITH UGRAFT

Two of the hallmark characteristics of Dr. Umar’s work include:

  • the ability to create results that lack visible scarring
  • the use of true to life hair grafts whose thicknesses match natural details

These results are due to the use of his uGraft tools, which he designed himself. Dr. Umar often uses nape or leg hairs to fill in sparse brows. These are much thinner compared to the ones that grow on the main parts of the head.

Therefore, they are a more realistic looking match. However, they also grow at sharp and unique angles, putting them at risk for damage with regular hair transplant punches.

UGraft devices are equipped with mechanisms that help to gently separate these follicles from surrounding tissues. And this is a much safer approach compared to relying exclusively on the punch edge.

Any time the skin is damaged, scar tissue will develop. Healing from punch wounds can result in bumps and irregularities.

But with uGraft, the punches can be customized to create specific shapes, not just round ones.

This minimizes the amount of extraneous tissue that emerges from the edges of the wounds. Therefore, the skin on the nape or the legs heals without visible traces of scarring.

Although eyebrow hair transplant procedures have existed for many years, they are often done by extracting a tiny strip of skin from the head to harvest follicles. These strips can only be excised from the back or sides of the head. And this is where hair tends to grow the thickest. Therefore uGraft represents a forward evolution in brow restoration surgery.

DR. UMAR'S EYEBROW HAIR TRANSPLANT PATIENTS

Deficient brows are often caused by factors such as:

  •     genetics
  •     hormone changes (particularly in women as they get older)
  •     excessive hair removal (through tweezing, plucking and waxing) which can lead to permanent damage of the follicles

Dr. Umar’s patients who were featured on Telemundo reflect all these different scenarios. Although eyebrow restoration is commonly associated with women, men also opt for this procedure. Thick, full brows are also part of male aesthetics.

As an expert hair transplant surgeon, Dr. Umar is also committed to the unique treatment needs of different ethnic groups and individuals around the globe.
